Don't want to needlessly spend hundreds of dollars replacing your notebook computer's motherboard? You can prevent the irreparable damage caused by broken power jacks through a simple and inexpensive repair.   It's always best to call or email first.  We can help you make sure you don't forget important details. This will also help minimize your turnaround time.

Include the power adapter with your shipment as well as a piece of paper with your name, daytime phone number, return shipping address and email address.

Shipping is safe as long as you provide adequate protection inside the laptop's packaging like bubble wrap around the laptop and a couple of inches of foam around that. We will ship your laptop back to you in the packaging in which it was sent to us unless you wish to purchase a box from us.

You ship to us using your preferred method of delivery and we will do the same if available.  Expedited shipping is available upon your request at an additional charge.                               

We accept check or we can invoice via secure Paypal (preferred) payments.

If you include an email address when you ship, you will be provided a tracking number to monitor the progress of your computer once it's shipped.

We don't charge extra for handling.  All is included in the $99.99  Shipping, handling, DC jack part and labor. (this pricing does not include certain models) call ahead if needed.  Most models covered!

We cannot guarantee that this will work for your laptop until we do the fix and it works.  There are many other variables why a laptop doesn't work.   Once we have replaced the DC power jack and the laptop charges properly we will guarantee our workmanship for 30 days.  This fix is a money saver but is not  100% effective to fix your laptop.  If you are not sure about using this service please don't.  Others will say they can fix it but if they haven't seen it they truly can not give you a 100% assessment.  Buying a complete new laptop or motherboard which will cost 300.00+ is your alternative.

How long does it take to replace a DC power jack on my system? Average DC jack replacement job lasts about 1-2 hours(Actual labor time). We have all jacks in stock now!

How much is the shipping usually? To send a laptop via UPS or USPS is usually about $8.50-$15.00. If you ship your laptop to us we will ship the laptop back to you for free.

Do you need a password to get into my system? No, we do not need any of your passwords

Do you need my hard drive? We don't need your hard drive. If you have a sensitive information on it that you are worried about please remove it from your system. Please note all laptops that are property of the US government i.e. FBI, DOD, NSA, CIA even though you have a 128 bit encryption set on your machines, you are required to remove a hard drive before sending it to us

.Do I need to send an AC adapter? Yes, to test out your system we would prefer to have your AC DC power.
 

Are you liable for anything that will happen with my laptop? Not at all, replacing a dc jack on your laptop is extremely time consuming process. It usually takes about 1 hour just to get the old jack out of your motherboard without damaging the board or the tracers for your DC Jacks.  Also laptops are made of plastic which becomes brittle and does break.  We are not responsible for any parts on the laptop.  However we pride ourselves in our workmanship and knowledge.  Taking every precaution to fix your laptop and have it back in your hands working like it was brand new. 

What is the best way to pack a laptop for shipment? Put an inch or two of a bubble wrap around it, put it in the box, put an AC DC adapter near by, write out a check made out to At Your Door Computer Solutions send it to:
